Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel has over 52 years of professional business in Cave City. Our reputation within the community offers a company you can trust. Professional Advice, Professional Service, and Professional Accountability at an affordable price equals Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel.

As many of you know, my journey here at 410 N. Dixie Highway, Cave City, began long before Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel. My family started Jolly’s Restaurant long before the aspirations of my late husband to turn it into the Funeral Home.

In the beginning we provided not only funeral and burial services, but also ambulance services for Cave City. Being locally owned and operated we have strong ties to the community and our business prospered thanks to the tremendous support of friends and neighbors who trusted us to provide the comfort and closure for loved ones who had passed.

In the months, since Bob’s passing, it has fallen to me to carry on the traditions we have always provided Cave City and the surrounding communities. I have wrestled with what the future holds for the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel and the need to have funeral services available for those in need in our community. Our love for the people and area we have served has always been the driving force of our business.

For 52 years the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel has operated in Cave City. Literally hundreds of families have had their loved ones’ final needs provided by Bob and me. Many families have used our funeral chapel for multiple family members across generations.

As I contemplated the past, I was overcome by the generosity and support so many families have shown Bob and me during the years. Not just through the Funeral Home but so many other occasions as we lived and worked and enjoyed so many friendships through the years.

It is with the people in mind who have always counted on Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel that has made my decision to partner with a reputable and successful funeral home operation a bit easier.

It is with great pleasure that I announce that I have made a decision to partner with Chris and Lindsay Bartley, owners of Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville and Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel.

Believe me, this decision wasn’t made lightly but I truly feel that I have found the right people to carry on our service to Cave City and surrounding areas. The Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel will assure that funeral services will continue to be offered in Cave City by myself and another trusted family-owned funeral home proprietor.

Chris and Lindsay are no strangers to Cave City. Lindsay is the daughter of Chris and Vickie (Craine) Boyd, and Robert and Donna Kinslow. She attended Caverna, and is a graduate of Barren County High School, and is a Level II Funeral Director Apprentice, and also a Co-owner of 270 on Broadway. Chris is the son of Randall and Lou Ann Bartley, and a Dual licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. They have two sons, Mason and Michael.

It is my hope that our families and friends will continue to support the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel and welcome my partners, Chris and Lindsay Bartley.  We look forward to many more years of service to our Cave City area families.
