Mr. Robert “Robbie” Allen Williams, age 68, of Cave City, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at his residence in Cave City. Robbie was born on August 29, 1955, in Glasgow, Kentucky, a son of the late Carl E. “Bob” and Deloris “Dee” (Estes) Williams. He proudly served in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War. He graduated from Caverna High School. Robbie worked as a butcher for twenty years, retiring as a market manager from Food Lion. He later became a maintenance worker for T. J. Samson Hospital for thirteen years, and then completely retired as a master screen printer from Replica Screenprinting, the family business run by his wife and daughter. His hobbies were playing softball, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of the Basil Chapel United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Melissa Gail (Ward) Williams of Cave City, two daughters, Heather Streible and husband Scott of Cave City, and Angela Hayes and husband Tony of Glasgow, three grandchildren, Lauren Bass, Brayden Bass, and Preston Hayes, and his mother-in-law, Doris Ward.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, B. J. Ward.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by DAV Chapter 20.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 2, 2023, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again Tuesday morning, after 9 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cave City Cemetery.
