Mr. Paul Raymond Barron, age 84, of Cave City, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at his home, surrounded by family. Paul was born in Monmouth, Illinois on June 25, 1941, a son of the late Kenneth Wayne and Bessie Edith (Cline) Barron. He married Patricia Ann Dennison on September 8, 1966, at the Cave City Church of Christ. Patricia preceded him in death on November 17, 1998. He retired from Eaton Axle in Glasgow after Patricia’s passing and was a lifelong tobacco and cattle farmer. Paul enjoyed going to the stockyard and was a member of the Barren County Cattlemen’s Association and the Cave City Church of Christ.
He is survived by three children, Eric Barron and wife Shelly, Cameron Barron and wife Lisa, all of Cave City, and Sarah Harper and husband Jason of Glasgow, his special friend, Ms. Doris Smith of Cave City, five grandchildren; Briley and Braden Barron, Madison, Melanie, and Callie Harper. Two sisters, Eleanor Vance, and Judy Higginbotham of Horse Cave, and one brother, Danny Barron and wife Nina of Scottsville also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Dennison) Barron, his parents in law, Cortland and Margaret Dennison, one brother, Howard Barron, and one sister, Bonnie Smith.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning after 8:00 until the service time at 10:00.
