Ms. Leona Mae Turner, age 91, of Cave City, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.  Leona was born in Cave City, Kentucky on October 25, 1931, a daughter of the late Ray and Cecile (McDonald) Turner. She was a devout member of the Cave City Baptist Church since 1957.

She is survived by three nieces, Nancy Abell of Louisville, Monya Turner of Indiana, and Teresa Miller and husband Kenneth of Dallas, Texas, one nephew, Jim Abell of Cincinatti, and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Turner and his wife Ruth, and Harry Turner and his wife Ester, and one sister Betty Abell.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Cave City Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Cave City Cemetery.  Bro. Ryan Broers will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends at the church after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday until time for services at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to The Cave City Baptist Church in memory of Ms. Leona.

Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of Ms. Turner and her family at this time.
