Cave City, Kentucky

Mr. Billy Parker Turner, aged 95, of Cave City, Kentucky, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at his home. Born on March 17, 1930, in Cave City to the late Guy Hamilton and Freida Mae (Parker) Turner, Billy lived a rich and meaningful life.

In 1957, Billy answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy, dedicating nearly twenty years of his life to military service during the Korean War Era. His time in the Navy took him around the world, a testament to his commitment and duty. On December 22, 1952, he married Martha Rose Miller in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and together they built a loving family.

After retiring from the Navy, Billy continued to serve his community through his role at Mallory in Glasgow and as a devoted Boy Scout Leader throughout the 1960s. An avid traveler, he cherished family adventures with his wife and children, embodying a strong work ethic and a profound dedication to both his family and career. He was also a former member of the Cave City Christian Church.

Billy leaves behind his beloved wife of seventy-two years, Martha Rose Turner; his daughter, Laura Ann Flowers, of Lexington; and his son, Joseph Miller Turner and his wife Deborah, of Oakland. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Kaylin Turner and her husband Dr. Robert Worthing, of Midway, and Alyssa Hendrix and her husband Brandon of Millersville, Tennessee, along with two great-grandchildren, Holland Rose and Sloane Isabelle Hendrix, as well as several nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law John Patrick Flowers, and his sister, Carol Reynolds, and her husband R.D. Reynolds.
